MathsEdge is used by school students, so this is written to be read — not to be survived. Last updated 27 July 2026.
MathsEdge is an independent product built and run in Melbourne, Australia. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any school. Contact: admin@mathsedge.net.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts and formula rendering are served from this domain, so loading a page makes no request to any third party. If you send the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you type, plus the originating IP address for abuse prevention.
Your handwriting goes to one place: the model that marks it. When you submit, the page you wrote on is turned into an image and sent, with the question, to that model. It also writes down what it read, which is shown back to you so you can check it. Your feedback is then written by a second model, which receives the marks and that written-out version — not the image. Neither is given your name or email address.
We no longer use a separate handwriting-recognition service. Until August 2026 your strokes were sent to MyScript to be converted to text before marking; that step, and that third party, have been removed.
On a server in Australia, in a PostgreSQL database, with nightly backups held on separate storage. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
MathsEdge is intended for school-aged students, and we expect most users to be under 18. We collect the minimum needed to run the practice loop and we do not build advertising or behavioural profiles. If you are a parent, guardian or school and want to know what is held for a particular student, or want it removed, email us and we will action it.
You can delete your account from My account inside the app, which removes your profile and your submitted work. Backups roll off on their normal cycle. You can also email us and ask.
Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and complain if you think we have mishandled it. Email admin@mathsedge.net and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If this policy changes materially we will note it here and, where the change affects how your work is handled, tell account holders by email.
