MathsEdge is used by school students, so this is written to be read — not to be survived. Last updated 27 July 2026.
MathsEdge is an independent product built and run in Melbourne, Australia. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any school. Contact: admin@mathsedge.net.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts and formula rendering are served from this domain, so loading a page makes no request to any third party. If you send the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you type, plus the originating IP address for abuse prevention.
Handwriting recognition is performed by MyScript, so the strokes you write are sent to their service to be transcribed. Marking and feedback are produced by Anthropic's Claude models, which receive the question, your transcribed working, and — on questions involving a diagram, or where the transcription appears to have gone wrong — an image of your handwriting. Neither provider is given your name or email address.
On a server in Australia, in a PostgreSQL database, with nightly backups held on separate storage. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
MathsEdge is intended for school-aged students, and we expect most users to be under 18. We collect the minimum needed to run the practice loop and we do not build advertising or behavioural profiles. If you are a parent, guardian or school and want to know what is held for a particular student, or want it removed, email us and we will action it.
You can delete your account from My account inside the app, which removes your profile and your submitted work. Backups roll off on their normal cycle. You can also email us and ask.
Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and complain if you think we have mishandled it. Email admin@mathsedge.net and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If this policy changes materially we will note it here and, where the change affects how your work is handled, tell account holders by email.
