MathsEdge is a maths-practice tool built for the way students actually work. Write your working by hand on a digital pad — algebra, explanations and diagrams on the one page. The marker reads your page the way a teacher would, and tells you which step went wrong. Plus an integrated reference textbook aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9 and the Victorian Curriculum 2.0.
Built for maths, not for text
Typing maths is a chore. Menus, palettes, and a keyboard that doesn't know the difference between an x and a variable. MathsEdge is designed around three ideas that respect how the subject is actually done.
One pad per part, stylus or finger. Algebra, a sentence explaining your reasoning, an arrow to the side, a sketched graph — all on the same page, wherever you like on it. There is nothing to switch between and nothing to retype.
Not a mark out of two. The marker reads your page as written, awards the method marks you earned, and names the step where it broke — then writes out what it read, so you can check it read you right.
Every skill links to its section in the built-in textbooks — theory, worked examples, click-to-reveal solutions. Curriculum-aligned to AC v9 and VC2.0. Read the primer before you attempt it, or right after.
Your page, read as written
A digital pad with pressure-sensitive strokes, undo, colours and a spare-space extender for long working — ruled like an exercise book, or gridded when the question wants a graph. When you submit, that page goes to the marker exactly as you left it.
Marks follow the working. Set the problem up right, slip in the arithmetic, and you keep the method marks — a slip like \((x-4)(x+2) = x^2 - 8\) isn't "wrong answer", it's "the middle terms dropped; the correct expansion is \(x^2 - 2x - 8\)". Under every mark, What the marker read lists your working back to you, line by line, with the line it found the mistake on highlighted.
Reference book, built in
The reference book is written by a practising Head of Mathematics — the same material, written for real classes. Every worked example, every chapter enrichment, every exercise — all typeset once, rendered cleanly in-app, aligned skill-by-skill with the practice engine. Miss a question? Follow the 📖 link straight to the section that teaches it.
When you're generating a question, every tagged skill shows a 📖 Ch X.Y pill. Below the model solution, a 💡 Explain button gives you an on-the-fly primer with one worked example, tailored to that skill. Read before you practice, or read after you get one wrong — same click either way.
MathsEdge is still under construction. Only a small slice of the Australian curriculum is live today; the rest is being written and verified chapter-by-chapter, then released once every answer has been checked. If a subject you need isn't listed below, let us know — it helps us sequence what's next.
Sign up with your email — verification only — and start practicing. No install, no keyboard shortcuts to memorise, and the marker is always waiting.
